"Put on the armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm against the tactics of the devil. For our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness, with the evil spirits in the heavens." - Ephesians 6:11-12
We are ordinary Catholic men, passionate about our Christian Faith. We are on a mission to encourage and empower men to deepen their relationship with Christ, to be spiritual leaders in their families, their church, and their community and to live their faith in everyday life.
We are organized as a 501c3 non-profit corporation. We are entirely funded by our sponsors and registrants. We do not receive financial assistance from the Diocese of Scranton.
We seek to be faithful disciples of the risen Jesus Christ, loyal sons of his Church, loving and faithful husbands, wise and kind fathers and a band of brothers to one another. We desire that all Catholic men in the Diocese of Scranton will be linked as brothers in Christ, witnessing the Gospel in all aspects of their life, through a process of conversion, transformation, and mobilization.
Our main activity is to conduct an annual "Be A Catholic Man Conference" in partnership with the Bishop, priests, and deacons of the Diocese of Scranton. Where Catholic men can:
We are building leadership teams in each of the eleven deaneries of the Diocese of Scranton to facilitate the involvement of men at each parish, increasing diocesan-wide representation and needed skill levels.
Partnering with other Catholic organizations with an emphasis on men's spiritual needs.
Communicating with Diocesan men regarding the activities of the Be A Catholic Man Conference and ongoing related men's ministries, maintaining a men's database and website.
Networking with and promoting parish or deanery men's groups such as That Man Is You, men's Bible study groups, and men's clubs and service groups such as the Knights of Columbus, Pocono Cornerstone, Men of the Worker-Williamsport, etc.
Promoting Catholic evangelization tools such as JMJ Catholic Radio and EWTN.
